Cathy Cathy Zornes
Cathy has been a student of astrology since she was 14 years old. " I spent my allowance at the bookstores buying astrology books. I was fascinated by many of the metaphysical disciplines, such as numerology (probably due to my interest in mathematics), and tarot for it's symbolic meaning. But astrology was the most in depth and interesting for me, I felt I had an inherent understanding of this subject; who knows, maybe I did this in a past life."
Cathy has been a professional astrologer since the 1980's. "I read everything I could get my hands on, and even joined local astrology groups for additional insight, but my real education began in 1990 when I started participating in local psychic fairs, which usually consisted of psychics, channelers, tarot card readers, and various other forms of divination. There weren't too many astrologers in the group and I developed the ability to apply what I knew, on the spot. This helped me develop my incredibly strong intuition; the astrology chart was a basis for me to start with. So, although I think of myself as an intutive astrologer, I remain true to the science of astrology, and I don't use any other divination tools in my readings."

Cathy has always enjoyed writing ("...with Mars in Gemini, I'm either talking or writing, or both.") She was an astrological columnist for five years for a Midwest newspaper, The Edge, and a contributing writer to various publications of Llewellyn Worldwide, St. Paul, MN, including their annual Sun Signs books, and their calendars. Cathy has also published and written articles for various astrology newsletters.

In addition, Cathy teaches astrology, and gives lectures to various groups throughout the United States and has participated at national astrology conferences. She is Past President of STARS (1997 - 2000) the Twin Cities chapter of NCGR, and has been a periodic co-host of a Twin Cities cable television show on astrology, "As Above, So Below."

Cathy continues to do readings for clients throughout the United States and is currently studying astrology charts for dogs with the intention of publishing some of her findings. "Animals have always been a part of my life, and anyone who knows me rarely sees me without one of my pomeranians. I find it quite interesting to study the charts of domestic animals and horses, as they have much shorter life spans than humans, so they are less complex. Not only can I tell personality traits, but also health factors, and I find the transiting planet patterns are quite stark as they relate to major changes in the animal's lives. The real trick is finding breeders who keep track of accurate birth data, including the time of birth."

Former Member of American Federation of Astrologers (AFA)

Former Member of National Council for Geocosmic Research (NCGR)

Former Member of International Society of Astrological Research (ISAR)

I have been a member of these groups over the last 30 years and believe they helped greatly to expand my knowledge and understanding of astrology.. Although I am no longer active in the above groups, I highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in learning astrology for their educational benefits, as well as networking within the astrological community.
