Sun in Aries * Moon in Taurus * Aquarius Rising
Cathy Zornes has always been intuitive with a sharp understanding of people, personalities, possibilities, and life cycles. “As a student of metaphysics since the age of 14, I spent my allowance at bookstores buying publications on astrology and other forms of divination.”
A professional astrologer since the 1980s, Cathy read every astrology book she could find and joined local and national astrology groups for additional insight and exposure, but her real practice grew in 1990 when she began participating in local psychic fairs, which usually consisted of psychics, channelers, tarot card readers, and other “intuitives.” There weren’t many pure astrologers in the group and Cathy developed the ability to apply her interpretive talents on the spot. This helped her develop her insight using the astrology chart as a starting point. Because of this, she thinks of herself an intuitive astrologer, yet remains true to the science of astrology, and although she finds value with other divination tools, only periodically incorporates them into sessions with clients or students.
Cathy is also fascinated with numerology and tarot for their symbolic meaning, but she finds astrology is the most in-depth and interesting.
Cathy has always enjoyed writing (“…with Mars in Gemini, I’m either talking or writing, or both…”) She was an astrological columnist for five years for a Midwest newspaper, The Edge, and a contributing writer to various publications of Llewellyn Worldwide (MN) including their annual Sun Signs books and calendars. Cathy has also published and written articles for various metaphysical news publications.
In addition, Cathy teaches astrology and gives lectures at various groups throughout the United States, and has participated as a lecturer at national astrology conferences. She was past President of STARS (1997-2000) the Twin Cities chapter of NCGR, and during that time was a periodic co-host of a Twin Cities cable television broadcast on astrology, called “As Above, So Below…All About Astrology.”
Cathy continues her professional career with a steady client base and is now devoted to enriching the lives of others in their personal development, and teaching enthusiasts who want to become the next generation of astrologers.

“I have been a member of these groups over the last 30 years and believe they helped greatly to expand my knowledge and understanding of astrology. Although I am no longer active, I highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in learning astrology for the educational benefits, as well as networking with the astrological community.”
